ABOUT DAVID LOVELADY
BIOGRAPHY
Hey! I'm David, the man behind the lens.
I fell in love with Photography many moons ago, I've come a long way since using my Olympus SP820UZ, but I've loved the journey. I am fully self taught and have spent 10 years honing my craft before December 2020 hit and I felt comfortable sharing my work (after a few beers on New Years eve, obviously!)

Fast forward to 2022 and I'm living my dream, I've been given some great opportunities and met some mega people, I'm grateful for each moment I spend capturing moments, it really doesn't feel like a job at all.
​
I live and breathe photography, favourite camera? EOS R5, favourite brand? Canon, always. Biggest influence? Peter McKinnon (Love you dude). When I'm not capturing moments you'll find me watching my favourite creators' YouTube videos, drinking some top notch coffee or catching some time out in my VW T3.

David is one of the most talented photographers I’ve met and had the pleasure of working with. I first came across his work on Instagram and new instantly from seeing his pictures that he had this amazing ability of capturing the island in such a fresh, modern and inspiring way. His creative eye was exactly what we were looking for at Visit Isle of Man. David won the contract for our 2021 summer photography project which had him capturing landscape, adventure and lifestyle images. His delivery of the project was above and beyond what was stated in the brief, organising shoots with businesses, sourcing models and providing us with hundreds of epic images that have taken our marketing and promotional assets to a whole new level. We’ve since worked with David on a variety of other awarded projects, including photography and videography, and his work never fails to take my breath away. I've been collaborating with David on various projects over the last few years and not only do I have an awesome time working with him but I also find his creativity and work ethic incredibly impressive. He's superb at directing the talent in front of his camera and knows exactly what he wants to achieve at any given time on any given project.
